In occasione del Fine Settimana Internazionale del Faro, oggi domenica 21 agosto 28 fari in tutta la Grecia apriranno al pubblico tra le 10 e le 20. I visitatori avranno l'opportunità di conoscere meglio il contributo dei fari alla sicurezza della navigazione ma anche il loro grande significato in termini di patrimonio culturale. Poiché molti fari sono oggi in stato di abbandono e soffrono di atti vandalici, l'evento aspira a sensibilizzare il pubblico sulla necessità di conservare questi importanti testimoni della storia marinara prima che vengano irrimediabilmente perduti.

Although sirtaki was born only in 1964 and does not represent an authentic component of the Greek tradition, with its invitation to dance it has helped to make people talk about Greece and to make the world fall in love with this land populated not only by gods, sailors and thinkers, but also by passionate dancers.

Fin dalle sue prime note, la colonna sonora di Zorba il greco evoca il blu profondo del mare, il sole ed il calore della Grecia, invoglia a ballare e a lasciarsi travolgere sempre più dalla gioia della danza.
