Most of the options are concentrated in Argostoli, the capital, which has elegant cafes, trendy clubs and a couple of discos open all year round, but also in the other main tourist centres there are cocktail bars and beach bars (for example Ammos Beach Bar in Skala and Tratamento at Saint Thomas) which in summer organize fun beach parties until late at night. Katavothres Club Restaurant is located on the coastal road that connects Argostoli to the lighthouse of Saint Theodore, in a place known for its interesting geological phenomena (read about them in this article, https://www.kefalonialiving.com/kefalonia-travel-blog/item/59-kefalonia-living-katavothres). The restaurant overlooks the sea and has a breathtaking view, especially at sunset, and offers good quality cuisine in an elegant and refined environment. By following the social profiles of the restaurant you will stay updated on the parties and DJ sets organized in this exclusive location. Also in Argostoli are My Way, a nightclub with a young and international atmosphere, a good list of cocktails and a stylish internal garden, and CajaBlanca, which in addition to being a nightclub open all year round has a classy cocktail lounge where you can stop after dinner with splendid crochet umbrellas and white sofas in a refined and elegant style. Just outside Argostoli, on the main road through Lassi, So Simple is a lively, informal and fun cocktail bar recommended for both an aperitif and an after-dinner drink. It plays music of different genres until late at night but the volume is not so high as to impede conversation. Another place in Lassi not to be missed for its incredible sea view is Logos Grand View, ideal for an aperitif at sunset or a romantic evening. About 5 minutes from Lassi, in the village of Lakithra, Mescalero Cafè Bar has a colourful and slightly eccentric Mexican-inspired style; on its large terrace you can enjoy a coffee, a cold beer, a Mexican snack and above all a fun evening of music (from DJ sets to live evenings with musicians from the island). Skala, on the south-eastern tip of the island, also boasts some particularly popular places (especially among English guests). Just like Karma Cocktail Bar, which offers excellent cocktails and good music in a lively environment suitable for all ages, Akri Seaside Bar and Captain's Bar are also great places to sip a cocktail, watch the sea, listen to music, chat with friends or meet new people. Also in the south of the island, on Poros beach, a very popular place is Zanza Bar. The bar has an informal atmosphere and, according to some, offers the best cocktails on the island. Going up the east coast to get to Sami we recommend a stop at Kraken Bar, which despite being a little far from the port area is worth a visit for a relaxed evening, with drinks and music (live on some nights) until late at night. A good alternative in town is Manifiko Cafè Bar, located right on the seafront, open all year round and with frequent DJ sets. In Fiskardo one of the most popular places is Fishbones, which has a relaxed atmosphere, good playlists and sometimes live music. We close our short tour of the most popular pubs and night clubs on the island at the Loft Cocktail Bar, just a few steps from the port of Lixouri. The bar has elegant interiors, a refined atmosphere and a panoramic terrace that make it perfect for a romantic evening.
